PM Shehbaz vows to develop GB like Punjab
He lays a wreath at the memorial for the GB’s martyrs
Gilgit Baltistan: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the Gilgit Baltistan region's development and the welfare of its people.
In a tribute to the sacrifices made by Gilgit-Baltistan’s young defenders, Shehbaz Sharif laid a wreath at the memorial for the region’s martyrs. The Prime Minister acknowledged the invaluable role of Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts in maintaining peace and safeguarding the lives and property of the region’s residents.
“The sacrifices of GB's brave youth in ensuring peace are engraved in our nation’s memory,” he said.
Moreover, PM Shehbaz held separate meetings with Governor Syed Mehdi Shah and Chief Minister Gulbar Khan, where they discussed ongoing developments and local governance. Both officials commended the Prime Minister for recent economic reforms that have brought relative stability to the nation.
In a gesture of respect, Chief Minister Gulbar Khan presented Shehbaz Sharif with a traditional attire, representing the region’s rich cultural heritage.
