15th night of Shaban is known as Shab-e-Barat and it holds special significance

Lahore: Shab-e-Barat will be celebrated with devotion and respect across the country today. The blessed gatherings will be organized on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat and worship and nawafil will be performed throughout the night.
Tonight, scholars and speakers will explain the virtues of Shab-e-Barat in mosques across the country, while people will also recite Fateha on the graves of their loved ones.
The month of Shaban al-Mu’azzam is full of blessings, but its 15th night, which is known as Shab-e-Barat, holds special significance. ‘Shab’ means night and ‘Barat’ means redemption. This night is a special occasion for the mercy and forgiveness of Allah Almighty.
According to traditions, on this night, Allah Almighty forgives sinners more than the number of hairs on the goats of the Banu Qalb tribe. On this night, a list of all the affairs of the universe such as rise and fall, success and failure, and abundance and scarcity in sustenance is compiled and the angels are distributed according to their tasks.
Special prayers will continue throughout the night today, especially after Maghrib prayers, and six Nafl prayers will be offered. Muslims will pray to Allah for repentance of sins, forgiveness, faith, abundance of sustenance, and peace for the Islamic world, especially Pakistan.
Allah Almighty provides Shab-e-Barat as an opportunity for His servants to take full advantage of His blessings and pray for improvements in their lives. This night is also a source of spiritual peace and seeking Allah's blessings.
