Sutlej River has low-level flooding at Ganda Singh Wala and Head Sulemanki

Lahore: The Flood Forecasting Division has issued an alert regarding water levels in dams and the flood situation in rivers.
According to a spokesperson for the Flood Forecasting Division, Tarbela Dam is 100% full, while Mangla Dam has reached 75% capacity.
In this regard, a WAPDA spokesperson stated that Tarbela Dam is now completely filled, with a water level of 1,550 feet. Today, the water storage in Tarbela is 5.728 million acre-feet, with an inflow of 268,300 cusecs and an outflow of 238,900 cusecs from the Indus River.
Regarding Mangla Dam, the water level has reached 1,217.45 feet, with an inflow of 38,600 cusecs and an outflow of 7,000 cusecs from the Jhelum River.
At Chashma Barrage, the inflow is 403,500 cusecs, and the outflow is 351,600 cusecs.
At Head Marala, the Chenab River has an inflow of 67,600 cusecs and an outflow of 49,000 cusecs.
At Nowshera, the Kabul River is flowing with an inflow and outflow of 44,600 cusecs.
The WAPDA spokesperson further stated that Mangla Dam holds 5.423 million acre-feet of water. Chashma Barrage holds 94,000 acre-feet of water.
The total water storage in Tarbela, Mangla, and Chashma reservoirs is 11.245 million acre-feet.
On the other hand, the Indus River is experiencing moderate flooding at Taunsa and Guddu barrages. Kalabagh, Chashma, and Sukkur barrages are witnessing low-level flooding. The Sutlej River has low-level flooding at Ganda Singh Wala and Head Sulemanki.
The Kabul River at Nowshera and its tributaries are flowing normally. The Jhelum, Chenab, and Ravi rivers are also flowing at normal levels, except at Basantar on the Ravi, where low-level flooding is being observed.
