COAS meets CIA Chief
Rawalpindi: The Chief of Central Investigation Agency (CIA) William J. Burns met the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday.
Both conversed on the Afghan predicament and stressed the peace and stability in Afghanistan as indispensable.
The Chief of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt. General Faiz Hameed was also present in the meeting.
CIA Chief praised the role of Pakistan in the successful and safe evacuation of foreign nationals from Afghanistan.
As per the Military's Media wing, It was reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to cooperating with its international partners for peace in the region and ensuring a stable and prosperous future for the Afghan people.
The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan's role in the Afghan situation including successful evacuation operations, efforts for regional stability and pledged to play their role for further improvement in diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
