Lahore: Out of the 132 candidates who appeared for PhD entrance test for Institute of Communication Studies in Punjab University (PU), a staggering 100% of applicants were unable to clear the test.
In other words, not even one percent candidates could pass the test.
The PU conducted the examination in the province last week at its main Quide-e-Azam center on Wahdat road.
Even vast majority of A-1 graders of the province were unable to clear the varsity’s admission test. In addition, dozens of faculty members from different institutions also failed the test.
According to local media, the students termed the entrance test as suspicious, claiming that out of syllabus queries were given in the test due to department’s ‘no-admission plan’.
The syllabus was changed three days before the entrance test, said furious candidates adding that there was disagreement with NTS regarding terms and conditions.
