Lahore: A smart lockdown has been imposed in seven areas of Lahore after the city reported surge in Covid-19 cases.

According to details, the areas where smart lockdown has been imposed by district management include House No F705-F711 Johar Town; Street No 321, S-Block, Phase 2, DHA; House No 18-20 Asif Block, Allama Iqbal Town; House no 390-393, Block A, Gulshan Ravi; Street no 7, Khaliq Street Sultan Mahmood Road; Bajwa House Street near Gol Bagh in Shad Bagh and House no 56-66 Block C near UET.
A notification has also been issued in this regard.
All shopping malls, restaurants and offices (private and public will remain closed in the areas. Only pharmacies, collection points, hospitals and clinics will remain open 24 hours, while grocery stores will remain open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.
According to National Command and Control Center (NCOC), around 1,340 cases of coronavirus were reported in the country in last 24 hours while 28 people succumbed to the disease, taking the total death toll to 12,563.
