Jerusalem: Israel has opened an embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) four months following normalization of ties between Jewish state and the Gulf country.

According to Israel’s Foreign Ministry, veteran Israeli diplomat Eitan Na'eh will serve as head of mission and the embassy will function from temporary offices until a permanent location is arranged.
"Today the Israeli embassy in Abu Dhabi has officially been opened, with the arrival of the mission head Eitan Naeh," the ministry said in a statement adding,
"The Israeli embassy in the United Arab Emirates will advance relations between the countries on all levels."
The UAE, along with Bahrain, renewed ties with Israel under a series of agreements brokered by United States (US) in September.
Known as "Abraham Accords", the agreements were termed as ‘stab in the back’ by Palestine government. It also broke the years long Arab consensus that there should be no normalization of ties with Israel until a peace deal is reached wth Palestinians.
Earlier this month, Sudan also normalized its ties with Israel after signing the Abraham Accords.
