The session with the theme "Building Partnerships for Unity, Justice, and Development" begins at Parliament House.

Islamabad: The 48th Council of Foreign Ministers (CFMs) Conference of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) began in Islamabad Tuesday, GNN reported.
Dignitaries from several Islamic countries, including the secretary-general of the OIC, Bank Islami president, and Saudi foreign minister were in attendance.
The theme of the 48th session is "Building Partnerships for Unity, Justice, and Development". Over 100 resolutions will be considered during the two-day session.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the inaugural session of the conference.
The FMs meeting of the OIC is going to be held at a time when there is political instability in Pakistan, arising out of the no-trust motion the opposition parties have submitted against the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government in the National Assembly a few days ago.
However, all and sundry, including the opposition, have said they will welcome the visiting dignitaries wholeheartedly.
The Council of Foreign Ministers is the main decision-making body of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, consisting of one representative from each member state of the OIC.
It is the largest decision-making organisation that holds conferences every year called Islamic Summit at which the issues confronting the Muslim Ummah are discussed.
