Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Wednesday declared that the central bank will be closed on June 29-30 in observance of Eidul Azha.

The federal government had previously announced three days of Eid holidays. The Cabinet Division issued a statement stating that the Prime Minister has approved the public holidays as follows:
-June 29 to 30, 2023, for offices observing five working days in a week.
-June 29 to July 1, 2023, for offices observing six working days in a week.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, confirmed the sighting of the Zilhaj moon in Pakistan on Monday. As a result, Eidul Azha will be celebrated across the country on June 29 (Thursday).
