All commercial banks throughout the country would remain closed for four consecutive days, from Thursday to Sunday.


Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Wednesday declared that the central bank will be closed on June 29-30 in observance of Eidul Azha.
All commercial banks throughout the country would remain closed for four consecutive days, from Thursday to Sunday.
The federal government had previously announced three days of Eid holidays. The Cabinet Division issued a statement stating that the Prime Minister has approved the public holidays as follows:
-June 29 to 30, 2023, for offices observing five working days in a week.
-June 29 to July 1, 2023, for offices observing six working days in a week.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, confirmed the sighting of the Zilhaj moon in Pakistan on Monday. As a result, Eidul Azha will be celebrated across the country on June 29 (Thursday).
