Keeping in mind the accountability court's order, IHC barred the arrest of Nawaz Sharif in Al-Azizia and Avenfield reference also till October 24.


Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday ordered not to arrest former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Al-Azizia and Avenfield references, while the Accountability Court had also suspended the arrest warrant of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief in the Toshakhana case.
According to details, IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Gul Hasan Aurangzeb heard Nawaz Sharif's protective bail petitions in the Al-Azizia and Avenfield references, in which Nawaz Sharif's lawyers Amjad Parvez and Azam Nazir Tarar appeared in the court while National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) Prosecutor Rafi Maqsood and Afzal Qureshi gave arguments.
During the hearing, Azam Nazir Tarar said that Nawaz Sharif was a proclaimed offender in the trial court, the warrant has been suspended.
The Chief Justice asked if he had the court order with him. Azam Nazir told that the order has been issued, the lawyers are coming from the accountability court.
Later, keeping in mind the accountability court's order, the court barred the arrest of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Al-Azizia and Avenfield reference also and approved his protective bail till October 24.
