I cannot tell you how your lives are about to change with the help of this Skardu, says Imran Khan

Skardu: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday has said that the overseas Pakistanis will now be able to fly to Skardu for tourism as well.
Addressing a large gathering of PTI supporters and locals at the Municipal Stadium in Skardu after inauguration of the Skardu International Airport and the strategic Jaglot-Skardu road, the prime minister highlighted the importance of airport as well as promotion of tourism in the Skardu.
He lamented that Pakistan had not developed its rural and remote areas over the course of seven decades, adding that the PTI government was focused on developing Gilgit-Baltistan like other remote areas of the country. “Gilgit Baltistan and Balochistan are lagging behind other parts of the country in development. No country in the world can flourish without developing its remote areas," he added.
Sharing his vision with the masses, the premier said, “I cannot tell you how your lives are about to change with the help of this Skardu. You cannot picture it right now, but I can. The residential of the Skardu will no longer have to travel to other places to seek employment as tourism will increase employment in the area.”
He assured locals that the PTI government will ensure connectivity of Skardu to other parts of the country so that the potential of local tourism can also be exploited fully. “Now overseas Pakistanis will be able to visit Pakistan after inauguration of Gilgit Baltistan airport. Tourism is biggest asset of the country,” he maintained.
