15th death anniversary of Ustad Asad Amanat Ali observed today
He died on this day in 2007 due to cardiac arrest in London, England.


Lahore: Today marks the 15th death anniversary of renowned classical ghazal singer Ustad Asad Amanat Ali.
The government of Pakistan acknowledged Asad Amanat Ali Khan’s immense contributions to Pakistani music industry by awarding him the Pride of Performance in 2007.
He died on this day in 2007 due to cardiac arrest in London, England.
He was amongst the most famous classical singers to come out of Pakistan and the son of legendary singer Ustad Amanat Ali Khan and great grandchild to Ustad Ali Baksh who was the founder of the Patiala gharana.
The musician recorded his first song when he was only 10.
Umran Langiyaan Paban Bhar, Gham Tera Hum Nay, Zara Zara Dil Mein Dard Hua and Kal Chaudvin Ki Raat Thi are amongst some of his evergreen melodies.
Asad performed all around the world and was honoured with the Pride of Performance award due to his wonderful music services.
