Lahore: A drug addict killed six people including his parents, sister, aunt and nephew on Friday near Lahore's Green Town area, GNN reported.
According to preliminary investigation, the incident which turned out to be the result of substance abuse, occurred near College Road Amir Chowk area of Lahore over land dispute.
The accused identified as Abid, opened fire at his own family members, resultantly, six people including three women were killed.
Reportedly, the suspect was under influence of Ice (crystal methamphetamine), a drug that stimulates the brain and nervous system, and is highly addictive.
According to police, the accused first shot his family, he then rushed to the house of his in-laws where he gunned down his father-in-law and wife's aunt, injuring his mother-in-law.
As soon as the incident was reported, the police rushed to the spot and took immediate action and arrested the shooter.
Police arresting the accused have registered the case while interrogation is underway.
They also shifted the deceased to the hospital for autopsy and cordoned off the site, in a bid to obtain vital evidence.
