Punjab by-polls: PTI taking lead over PML-N in preliminary unofficial results, says ECP dashboard
The polling took place at 20 vacant seats of Punjab from 9am to 5pm
Lahore: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) candidates are taking lead over PML-N in the preliminary unofficial and unverified results of 20 cosntituencies across Punjab, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) dashboard reveals.
GNN correpondent reported that the PTI candidates have so dar secured more votes in the so far results of different polling stations.
The polling was held in different districts of Punjab after the ECP de-seated 25 disgruntled PTI MPAs who favoured Hamza Shehbaz Sharif as Punjab CM.
At least 14 cases of violence outside polling stations were reporetd througout the province, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah told reporters.
He said no FIR had been lodged so far. The minsiter said turnout remained around 40 per cent.
