Lt Gen Faiz Hameed retired from service premature
The resignation sent to the GHQ was accepted forthwith

Rawalpindi: Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed retired from service premature on Monday, sources told GNN.
Hameed sent his resignation to the General Headquarters (GHQ) which was accepted, sources added.
Hameed was serving as as Corps Commander Bahawalpur before retirement and performed his duties as the 24th DG ISI.
Reports of his premature retirement comes after the federal government appointed General Syed Asim Munir as Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and General Sahir Shamshad Mirza as CJCSC for the next three years. .
Lt Gen Faiz Hameed, serving as Bahawalpur Corps Commander, was scheduled to retire on April, 30 2023.
