57.5% Twitteratis want Musk to step down as CEO
More than 17.5 million people participated in the pole.
San Francisco: 57.5% of Twitter users voted that Twitter Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Elon Musk should step down as chief, in a poll launched by Elon Musk Sunday evening asking if he should not be the head.
He launched this poll in response to a backlash he received in less than two months after taking over.
The results of the poll stated that about 57.5% votes were for "Yes", while 42.5% were against the idea of the Tesla owner stepping down as the head of social media platform.
Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll.

More than 17.5 million people participated in the pole.
The billionaire stated in the poll that he would abide by the results, but did not give details about stepping down if the poll result turns out to be ‘yes’.
The shares of electric car maker Tesla Inc— Musk owns— were up about 5% in premarket trading.
The billionaire who lost his title of world’s richest person this month, also established the tunneling enterprise Boring Company, backs medical device company Neuralink and heads rocket company SpaceX.
Following the Twitter deal, Tesla investors have been concerned that Musk has been spreading himself too thin.
The Increased competition in Electric Vehicle (EV) space followed by other carmakers, Tesla this year, has lost nearly 60% value of its shares.
Wedbush analyst Dan Ives said in a note: “It appears Musk's reign as CEO of Twitter will come to an end and thus be a major positive for Tesla's stock, starting to slowly remove this albatross from the story,” adding that "Musk is Tesla and Tesla is Musk."
Tesla is ranked among the world’s top automakers as it delivers almost a million cars every year. But major concerns have been raised due to latest logistical issues, pandemic-related lockdowns in China, increased borrowing costs and a dull outlook for global economic development.
Following the poll, a Twitter user questioned about the possible upcoming CEO, to which Musk replied: “There is no successor”.
"Elon", "CEO of Twitter", "vote Yes" and "vote No" were the trending topics on Twitter on Monday.
The poll was generated after Twitter’s Sunday policy update prohibiting accounts exclusively used to promote other social media companies and content that links to other platforms.
