Karachi: The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has extended an invitation to a 13-year-old student from Karachi, Pakistan.
The invitation was extended after being impressed by her groundbreaking invention aimed at reducing accidents on the road.
Bisma Solangi, a student at Evergreen Secondary School, has developed an "Anti-Sleep" device that prevents drivers from dozing off while behind the wheel.
Fatigue is a significant hazard not only in Pakistan but also globally, endangering drivers and road users alike.
According to the World Health Organization, fatigue is a major contributing factor to accidents worldwide.
Drowsy drivers face the challenges of impaired awareness, nodding off, poor decision-making, and veering from their lane..
Bisma's invention aims to reduce accidents and enhance road safety. Together with her team, she has developed a device that alerts drivers if they fall asleep while operating a vehicle.
The remarkable innovation by Bisma caught the attention of NASA, leading to an invitation for her to attend a camp where she can showcase her abilities.
Accompanied by other students, she has embarked on a journey from Karachi Airport to the United States.
