Islamabad: The federal government has appointed Rehmat Ali Hasnie as the new president of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) on Tuesday.
Rehmat Ali Hasnie has been associated with the NBP since 2010 and serving as the Acting President since May 2022.
Hasnie managed divisions like Corporate Banking and Investment Banking.
He has more than 25 years of expertise in the areas of credit markets, investment banking, treasury markets, and economic research.
On the boards of the Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, First National Bank Mudaraba, First Credit and Investment Bank, AgriTech Limited, Fuji Akbar Portia, and Marine Terminal, he has also served as a nominee director.
