Arif Alvi's secretary leaves charge of President House
Now Iram Bukhari—who was the Additional Secretary in the Presidency—has been assigned this responsibility.
Islamabad: President Dr. Arif Alvi's Secretary Waqar Ahmed left the charge of President House and reported to the Establishment Division for his next assignment.
Earlier on August 20, President Arif Alvi had requested the federal government to replace him with federal secretary Humira Ahmed, but she refused to serve as president.
Later, some other federal secretaries were asked to serve in the presidency, but none of the federal secretaries agreed to become the president's secretary.
Now Iram Bukhari—who was the Additional Secretary in the Presidency—has been assigned this responsibility. She is from the District Management Group.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister, Federal Ministers, Governors and Chief Ministers are avoiding meeting the President due to the crisis of credibility. Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, who assumed office almost three weeks ago, has yet to meet the president.
It is reported that President who has eight days left of his term is yet to get any prominent government official before completing his term.
Now the understanding prevails that whenever a dignitary calls or meets him, it will be in the presence of the note-taker.
