Pakistan reports 113 coronavirus deaths, infects 3,084 in one day
Islamabad: Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.
Pakistan’s registered death toll from coronavirus infections rose towards 19,100 , but some data suggested the spread of the disease has been contained after a one-week national lockdown.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 3,084 cases of coronavirus were reported while 113 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 19,106.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 864,557.
As many as 766,492 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,859 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 320,815 in the province with 9,125 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 293,426 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,753.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 124,979 in the province with 3,644 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 23,534 confirmed cases while 253 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 17,984 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 508. On the other hand, there are 5,401 cases in GB with 107 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 78,382 cases in the capital city while 716 people have lost their lives.
