The nephew of Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, announced to challenge the move to seal Lal Haveli in the Lahore High Court (LHC).


Rawalpindi: Lal Haveli, the residence of former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed in Rawalpindi, has been evacuated and sealed.
The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) conducted the operation early in the morning in the presence of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and heavy police force.
Deputy Administrator Asif Khan said: “Sheikh Rashid and his brother are illegal occupants of abandoned waqf property, they could not produce any authentic documents related to Lal Haveli”.
Deputy Administrator of Abandoned Waqf Estate Asif Khan while talking to the media added that Lal Haveli has been completely sealed. Unit D158 of Lal Haveli shows the entire Lal Haveli.
Asif Khan stated the documents presented by Sheikh Rashid and Sheikh Siddique are unacceptable. The decision to vacate Lal Haveli was issued by the chairman of ETPB following which the operation was conducted.

On the other hand, former interior minister Sheikh Rashid's lawyer termed the sealing of Lal Haveli as an act of revenge.
