‘Unhappy memories’ can be erased now using new neurotechnology
As science and technology evolves with each passing day, new studies have found out that unhappy memories of humans can now be erased using new neurotechnology.

According to details, known as decoded neurofeedback, or DecNef, the memory-editing technique, which is created for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Usually, a person suffering from PTSD has plenty of hurtful and disturbing memories causing various physical and mental issues. The scientists argue that by using this technique, the painful memories can be removed from the person’s brain.
It uses an electromagnet similar to an MRI scanner, to measure various alterations in the brain, such as the level of oxygen in the blood.
The data collected by the scanner is sent in real time to an artificially intelligent ‘imagine learning agent’ that maps which areas of the brain are responsive when particular memories are stimulated.
On the other hand, several neurologists have criticized the technique saying erasing painful memories may raise ethical problems as it threatens to artificially change a person’s personality.
