ECP to release preliminary list of constituencies today
The Election Commission will deal with the objections from October 28 to November 26.
Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will release the preliminary list of constituencies for national and provincial assemblies today (Wednesday).
According to the details, the constituencies committees of the Election Commission have completed the work on the preliminary constituencies which will be approved by ECP today.
After the approval of the Chief Election Commissioner and the members, the initial list will be released. The quota of the National Assembly in Punjab is 9,05,595, while the quota of National Assembly in Sindh is 9,13,000.
The quota of National Assembly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly will consist of 9,07,913 population while the quota of National Assembly in Balochistan will be 9,30,900.
The National Assembly quota for Islamabad is 7,87,954.
The quota for Punjab Assembly will be 4,29,929, while the quota of Sindh Assembly Constituency is 4,28, 431.
Similarly, the quota of KP Assembly Constituency will consist of 3,55,270 people. The quota of Balochistan Assembly Constituency will consist of 2,92,047 people.
The Election Commission will deal with the objections from October 28 to November 26. Proposals and objections on constituencies can be filed from September 27 to October 28, while the Election Commission will release the final list of constituencies on November 30.
