1.1% inflation increased in October in Pakistan
The annual inflation rate was 26.9 percent from July to October.
Lahore: An increase of 1.1 percent in inflation was recorded during the month of October in Pakistan.
According to the Federal Bureau of Statistics, the annual inflation rate was 26.9 percent from July to October. The average inflation rate was 28.48 percent, while inflation rate in urban areas was 25.5 percent and 28.9 percent in rural areas.
According to the report, the prices of onion, potatoes, other vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish and spices got higher. While electricity became expensive by 8.29%, wedding hall charges surged by 5.43% and accommodation by 4.50%.
The report of Federal Bureau of Statistics told that medicines have become expensive by 3.72%, education by 3.23%, doctor fees swelled by 3%. While the cost of sugar, chickpeas, tomatoes, pulses, molasses, jaggery, wheat flour and milk declined in Pakistan.
