The latest reports say that the driving license fee will be raised from January 16 and advised the public to obtain their licenses before the deadline to avoid additional expenses.
Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday announced hike in the driving license fee across the province.
The new price would be effective from January 16.
Naqvi highlighted that the driving license fee would be raised from January 16 and advised the public to obtain their licenses before the deadline to avoid additional expenses. He also warned against driving motorcycles or vehicles without a valid license.
Initially, on December 5, 2023, the provincial government had proposed raising the driving license fee from Rs60 to Rs1,000, but Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi deferred its implementation until January 15. The approval for this increment was granted during the 33rd meeting of the provincial cabinet, presided over by the caretaker Chief Minister.
It may be mentioned here that over 10 million driving licenses were issued last year.
