Hayat Manika pledges to contest and secure the provincial seat from Pakpattan, promises to dedicate it to Captain Imran Khan.
Pakpattan: Hyat Manika, son of former provincial minister Mian Atta Manika on Sunday made headlines by departing from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), and officially joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
“I hereby formally announce my departure from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. After considering the sentiments of the constituency's populace, I have opted to align myself with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf,” said Hayat Manika while addressing a press conference on Sunday.
He said, “I pledge to contest and secure the provincial seat from Pakpattan, promising to dedicate it to Captain Imran Khan,”.
Other PTI supporters and members including ticket holders Rao Omar Hashim, Rao Naseem Hashim, Mehr Moinuddin Chishti, and Riaz Arshad Niazi, the district president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, were also present there.
It may be mentioned here that Hyat Manika had chosen to contest the elections independently in PP-193 after failing to secure the PML-N ticket.
