Court reserves verdict on plea to remove Imran Riaz's name from PNIL
The journalist Imran Riaz has filed an application in the LHC through the mediation of Advocate Azhar Siddique.
Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Thursday reserved its decision on the petition to remove the name of senior anchor and journalist Imran Riaz Khan from Provisional National Identification List (PNIL).
According to the details, Justice Shujaat Ali Khan of LHC heard the appeal of Imran Riaz to withdraw his name from PNIL and reserved the decision.
The Punjab government and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) submitted a reply during the hearing in which FIA informed the court that the petitioner's name has been removed from the PNIL list and requested that the petitioner's plea be dismissed.
Imran Riaz's lawyer took the stand that his name is being included in the Exit Control List (ECL), the court should order the removal of his name from the ECL.
