KP's Kurram clashes leave five more dead, 15 wounded on eighth day of violence

Kurran: Five more people were killed while 15 others were wounded after fresh clashes broke out between rival tribes in different areas of Kurram district on Friday.

The clashes entered the eighth day, bringing the total number of casualties to 46 and 96 injuries, medics said.

According to police, the clashes began after Boshehra tribes of upper Kurram started setting up bunkers on the lands of Ahmadzai tribes, with the dispute quickly engulfing other areas as well.

Ex-federal minister Sajid Toori acknowledged that routine activities was badly affected due to armed clashes, but hoped the situation would normalise soon, calling on people to solve their problems amicably.
