EPA DG asks to reschedule the school’s beginning timings no earlier than 8:45am


Lahore: With the Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching 150 in Lahore, the Punjab Environmental Protection Agency has directed to reschedule school timings in the provincial capital.
Punjab EPA DG in his letter to Education Department, asked to reschedule the school’s beginning timings no earlier than 8:45am, from October 28th to January 31, 2025. Letter also read that all outdoor activities suspended to limit children's exposure to polluted air.
Meanwhile, students are required to assemble indoors, and authorities have urged the public to adopt protective measures, including wearing masks and monitoring daily AQI levels through the Environment Protection Department app.
