Hafiz Naeem says PTI was trapped in the constitutional amendment

Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman announced on Thursday to challenge the 26th constitutional amendment in the court.
Talking to media in Lahore, he said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was trapped in the constitutional amendment.
Hafiz Naeem said, “The government passed the amendment through political maneuvering. The judiciary was attacked through the constitutional amendment.”
“PTI first gave the names for the parliamentary committee and then decided not to participate in the meeting,” he added.
Hafiz Naeem also urged the government to release the political prisoners to send a positive message.
Meanwhile, the 26th constitutional amendment was also challenged in the Supreme Court's Lahore Registry.
The federal government and the Ministry of Law were made parties in the petition.
“The command and control centre… was used by the terrorists to plan and execute terrorist attacks against IDF (Israeli army) troops and the State of Israel,” it said.
