PM’s clear stance on no compromise on missile program
He said that sanctions imposed by US are unjustified
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Monday said that the sanctions imposed by the United States are unjustified and there will be no compromise on Pakistan's nuclear program.
Speaking in a meeting of the federal cabinet, the Prime Minister stated that a few days ago, 17 security personnel were martyred in a Khawarij attack and our forces killed many Khawarij. The army chief himself visited and encouraged the personnel. All resources are being used to eliminate terrorism and a full-scale fight is being waged until the terrorism is crushed.
He added that incidents of terrorism took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The incident of sectarianism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is very sad. When this killing and destruction was happening in Kurram, Islamabad was attacked.
Shehbaz Sharif further said that he is with the security forces in the war against terrorism. The government is taking steps against terrorism in collaboration with the provinces.
Regarding the sanctions imposed by the US regarding the ballistic missile program, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the sanctions imposed are unjustified. Pakistan's nuclear program is only for the defense of the country and it is a program for 240 million people. There will be no compromise on Pakistan's nuclear program.
The premier stated that a committee meeting was held with PTI yesterday. If national interest is discussed, it will promote unity. There is no doubt about anyone's intentions. Hopefully, both committees will find a solution that will benefit the country.
He also stated that inflation is at its lowest level since 2018. Exports are increasing, positive talks were held with Dr Yunus in Cairo. Relations with Bangladesh are being established and rice is being exported to Bangladesh.
