If Shawwal moon is sighted on Saturday evening, March 29, then Eid ul-Fitr will be on Sunday

Dubai: Eid-ul-Fitr holidays have been announced in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to a report by Khaleej Times, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has issued a circular announcing that Eid al-Fitr holidays for the federal government sector will be from Shawwal 1 to 3 Shawwal and government work will resume on Shawwal 4.
According to the report, if Ramadan lasts 30 days, there will be an additional holiday on Ramadan 30, thus extending the Eid break.
The report states that no schedule has been revealed for the Eid holidays of the private sector at present. However, it is likely that employees here too will get similar holidays.
If the Shawwal moon is sighted on Saturday evening, March 29, then Eid ul-Fitr will be on Sunday, March 30, and Sunday will be the first day of Eid. In this case, the official holidays will continue from Sunday to Tuesday, with most people getting a four-day weekend from Saturday to Tuesday.
Otherwise, if the moon is not sighted on Saturday evening, there will be 30 days of fasting, while Eid will begin on Monday, March 31.
In such a case, the holidays starting on Saturday will continue until Wednesday, April 2, which will be a long weekend of five holidays.
