Lawyer told the court that challan has not yet been issued to the accused in this case


Lahore: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore has also granted bail to Aleema Khan’s other son, Sher Shah, in the Jinnah House attack case.
According to the details, the Lahore ATC also granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s other nephew, Sher Shah, in the Jinnah House case and ordered his release.
ATC Judge Manzar Ali Gul gave a reserved verdict. The police had arrested Sher Shah in the Jinnah House case.
The hearing on the bail application of PTI founder’s nephew Sher in the Jinnah House case was held, during which Rana Mudassar Umar Advocate presented arguments on behalf of Sher Shah.
Lawyer Rana Mudassar told the court that the challan has not yet been issued to the accused in this case, since it is not known when the trial will start, the accused cannot be kept in custody indefinitely.
He said that there is no statement in the police file against Sher Shah. He was not arrested for 28 months; he was arrested suddenly, and revenge actions are being taken because he belongs to Imran Khan’s family.
Sher Shah’s lawyer stated that there is no evidence on record against the accused and he is not involved in any riot, while those who were accused of more serious charges than Sher Shah have been granted bail.
He added that a planned recovery of the stick was made from Sher Shah. In light of the statement of the co-accused, this court has discharged Dr Yasmin Rashid from the case. The bail of all the accused arrested in this case has been approved.
Lawyer Rana Mudassar told the court that there is no such allegation against Sher Shah that he has vandalized; no one else can be implicated just by identifying one accused.
He requested the ATC Lahore to grant bail to Sher Shah and order his release.
On which the court granted Sher Shah bail in the Jinnah House case against surety bonds of Rs100,000.
It is pertinent to note that yesterday, the ATC Lahore had granted bail to Aleema Khan’s son, Shah Raiz Khan, in the Jinnah House attack case and ordered the release of the accused.
A few days ago, Aleema Khan had said that four armed men had kidnapped her son Shah Raiz.
Later, the police confirmed the arrest of Shah Raiz, saying that he was arrested in the case of May 9, 2023.
Meanwhile, Aleema Khan’s lawyer, Rana Mudassar, had said that Sher Shah Khan was also arrested. He came to the Anti-Terrorism Court today to appear for his brother.
