Justice Sardar Tariq and Justice Mazhar Alam have been appointed as ad hoc judges for one year


Islamabad: Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Mazhar Alam Mian Khel Monday took oath as ad hoc judges.
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa administered the oath to ad hoc judges.
Judges of the Supreme Court and the Attorney General participated in the swearing-in ceremony.
Justice Sardar Tariq and Justice Mazhar Alam have been appointed as ad hoc judges for one year.
It is pertinent to note that Justice (Retd) Mazhar Alam had first consented to his appointment as ad hoc judge Supreme Court and then protected himself.
In the meeting of the Judicial Commission, it was again decided to seek the opinion of Justice (R) Mazhar Alam Mian Khel, after which he had agreed to be appointed.
Notably, Justice (r) Mushir Alam and Justice (r) Maqbool Baqir had refused from appointment as ad hoc judges.
