‘I grew up with Islam, Christianity and Hinduism’, says Priyanka Chopra
Leading Indian actress Priyanka Chopra has spoken about her religious views and her secular upbringing in India as a child.

In a new promo of Priyanka’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, she is seen talking about the impact of Christianity, Islam and Hinduism on her life.
Priyanka Chopra went to promote her recently unveiled 'Unfinished' in a popular television show hosted by Orpah Winfrey.
In the promo, Oprah is seen recounting how reading the actress’ book reminded her of the time she spent in India.
The interviewer spoke to Priyanka about India's 'spiritual power' and asked if it had a 'spiritual basis'.
In response, Priyanka Chopra said, "I think I have gone through this ordeal. You are right We have many religions with which we live in the country,"
"I grew up in a convent school. I know Christianity. My father used to recite in a mosque, so I know Islam. I belong to a Hindu family so I know that too. Spirituality is such a big part of India that you can't ignore it.
"He always taught me that all religions lead to the same God," the Bollywood actress was quoted as saying by her father Dr Ashok Chopra.
I am a Hindu, she said. “There is a temple in my house and I pray whenever I can.”
"But the truth is that I believe there is a higher power and I believe in it."
