Sec 144 violation case: Imran Khan's bail extended till September 27
Imran Khan, Asad Umar, Asad Qaiser and Faisal Vawda have been exempted from personal appearance in the case
Islamabad: An Additional District and Sessions Court in Islamabad on Wednesday extended Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and other party leaders' bail till September 27 in the Section 144 violation case.
According to details, the sessions court Judge Zafar Iqbal heard the bail applications filed by former Prime Minister Imran Khan and other PTI leaders in the Section 144 violation case.
During the course of the proceedings, Babar Awan, Khan’s counsel, pleaded with the court to extend his client’s interim bail. He also requested the court to exempt his client from personal appearance in the case.
Subsequently, the court adjourned the case and extended the bail till September 27.
The court also approved the exemption plea of Imran Khan, Asad Umar, Asad Qaiser, and Faisal Vawda in the case.
Earlier on August 25, the Islamabad court granted interim bail to Imran Khan in the case till September 7 against a surety bond worth Rs5000.
