Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Wednesday said that clearly, the claim of "arrest" was just a sham, while the real intention was to kidnap and kill.

Imran Khan turned to Twitter and wrote: “After tear gas and water cannons, they have now resorted to direct firing”.

I also provided a surety bond yesterday evening, but the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) refused to accept it, PTI chief stated.

Khan added that there is no ambiguity left in their malicious and impure intentions.

He also shared the video and image showing the bullet shells that had been allegedly fired by the police at PTI supporters and workers.

In another series of tweets, he said: “Since yesterday morning, tear gas, chemicals, water cannons and rubber bullets have been used against our workers and leaders”.

“While Rangers have been deployed in the field this morning after the invasion of the police with direct firing,” former prime minister wrote, adding that it is a direct conflict with the people.

He also wrote that those circles of power who claim to be ‘impartial’ is whether your concept of impartiality is the armless protesters and the leaders of biggest party, whose chief is facing illegal arrest warrants.

Imran added: “The issue is already in the court and the government of criminals trying to hijack and possibly kill him, and Rangers stand against them”?

Imran also shared a video message in which he stated: “Since yesterday evening Zaman Park looked like Occupied Kashmir”.

There is no example of the way police attacked PTI workers, he questioned the reason of attacking a small group of people with water cannons and tear gas.

He said that my bail is till March 18 and they know that I was not appearing in F-9 Kachehri Islamabad due to security concerns as earlier twice there had been terrorist attacks in the premises of that court and many judges and lawyer were martyred.

“The heavy police force and rangers and getting prepared to conquer Zaman Park,” the former cricketer stated.

Khan further stated that, just to avoid disruption, I gave an undertaking to Lahore High Court’s (LHC) president Ishtiaq A. Khan who tried to present the surety bond to DIG— who was to arrest Khan— did not meet the president.

According to section 76 of Code of Criminal, if the bond is given to the arresting officer, he cannot arrest the person, PTI chief informed.

“I wrote in the bond that I will present before the court on March 18 that I had already mentioned too, after which there is no point of arrest but he deliberately did not accept the bond, because it is a part of ‘London Plan’,” he claimed.

Imran alleged that an agreement had been signed in ‘London Plan’ to put Imran Khan behind the bars, destroy PTI and clear all the cases of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, adding that neither it is part of law nor I have done any crime.

He said: “I want to tell my people that they would attack same way today, however you should know that they do not have any reason for this now”.
