Authorities have initiated a crackdown against sugar smuggling on the instructions of the Caretaker Prime Minister.

Islamabad: Authorities have initiated a crackdown against sugar smuggling activities in compliance with the directives of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar.
In a statement posted on social media, Caretaker Federal Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti announced that Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan North had successfully conducted an operation against sugar smuggling attempts.
He stated that this crackdown was carried out in accordance with the instructions of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar and the guidance of the Director-General of FC Balochistan North.
The operation thwarted an attempted sugar smuggling operation into Afghanistan.
It's worth noting that the government has taken action against rising sugar prices and increased smuggling.
According to sources in the Ministry of Food Security, all sugar mills' gates have been monitored by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) teams.
Additionally, covert agencies are assisting in preventing the movement of smugglers along the borders of Afghanistan and Iran.
