Karachi: Sindh Rangers recovered sugar worth Rs1 billion stored in warehouses in Baldia Town, area of Karachi.
According to Sindh Rangers spokesperson, 140,000 sacks of sugar seized during the operation have been confiscated.
During the crackdown on sugar hoarders, a raid was conducted in Baldia town of Islamnagar when huge quantities of sugar stored in two different warehouses located on Hub River Road were seized during the operation.
The spokesperson of Sindh Rangers said that 140,000 bags of stored sugar have been recovered that worth more than one billion rupees.
The stored sugar was allegedly to be sent to Afghanistan via Balochistan. It has been handed over to the civil administration by the Sindh Rangers for further legal action.
