Lahore: Following the instructions of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Lahore, security has been put on high entrance and exit routes of the city.
According to details, DIG Operations said that checking of suspicious persons and vehicles is being ensured. Full security is being provided to mosques, Imam Bargahs and other places of worship.
Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi ordered divisional Superintendents of Police (SPs), circle officers and Station House Officers (SHOs) to stay in the field.
DIG Operations has asked the officers to check the security arrangements for Friday prayers themselves. He also ordered Dolphin and Provincial Reconnaissance Unit (PRU) teams to ensure effective operation on important highways.
