Islamabad: The spokesperson of Foreign Office Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that Pakistan strongly condemns Israel's attack in Gaza and demands from United Nations that full efforts should be made for ceasefire measures.

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, while holding a weekly press conference, stated that in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the caretaker foreign minister, Jalil Abbas Jilani, shed light on the Kashmir issue.

Serious violations of human rights are taking place in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The Indian government is imposing sanctions on the Hurriyat parties. Kashmiris should get the right to self-determination according to their will.

While discussing the Hamas-Israel tension, the spokesperson of the Foreign Office added: “Pakistan strongly condemns Israel's aggression in Gaza, targeting the civilian population in Gaza, in which innocent children and women were also martyred”.

The spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra continued to say that Israel is discriminating against the Palestinians. We call on the United Nations to make a concerted effort to establish a ceasefire. Establishing peace in the Middle East is the need of the hour.

It is pertinent to note that brutal bombing by the Israeli forces in Gaza and Khan Yunis continues, in which more than 1,200 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 5,500 have been injured so far.

There are also reports of the Israeli government using phosphorus bombs on Gaza and nine UN personnel have been confirmed dead in Israeli attacks so far.

On the other hand, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has requested Israel and Hamas not to attack educational institutions and hospitals and not to stop the supply of food to Gaza.
