Rawalpindi: Former Interior Minister and Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said: “We should believe the Chief Election Commissioner's statement regarding the elections”.
Talking to the media in Rawalpindi, Sheikh Rashid said that in August 2023, the Punjab government stated that there was no case against Sheikh Rashid, while today the details of ten cases against me were submitted in the court.
He added that he has small two-constituency politics, he worked in both the constituencies of Rawalpindi.
I have this thought from childhood that I will work with everyone and respect for institutions is mandatory for everyone, Rashid continued.
Sheikh Rashid further said that he did not even tweet after leaving, however if the elections are not conducted, he will continue working with previous salary. We should believe the Election Commissioner's statement.
