Islamabad: Senator Faisal Vawda refused to apologize unconditionally in the contempt of court case.

In the contempt of court case, Senator Faisal has submitted a reply in the Supreme Court.

Faisal Vawda said in response that the alleged accused of contempt of court respects the court, cannot even think of undermining the dignity of the court in any way. The accused thinks that the image of the court should be clear in the eyes of the public.

In response, he stated that the solution to all the problems of Pakistan lies in an active and dynamic judicial system. Recently, the Chief Justice said that the judiciary should admit its mistakes. A defamation campaign was launched against the judges of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in April 2024.

The Senator further said that the purpose of the press conference was not to humiliate the judiciary, but to improve the country, the court should show restraint in proceeding with contempt of court proceedings.

Faisal Vawda, in his reply submitted to the Supreme Court, requested that the notice of contempt of court be withdrawn.

It is pertinent to note that Senator Faisal Vawda also submitted the transcripts of the speeches of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Rauf Hasan, Jamat-e-Ulema Islami-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif along with the reply.
