Islamabad: Pakistan has reported a steep rise in daily coronavirus cases amid fears of fourth wave.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 1,828 cases of coronavirus were reported while 35 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 22,555.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 971,304.
As many as 912,295 patients have recovered from the disease with 2,049 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 347,793 in the province with 10,815 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 345,269 in the province, while the death toll has reached 5,583.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 139,162 in the province with 4,353 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 27,863 confirmed cases while 317 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 20,935 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 594. On the other hand, there are 6,769 cases in GB with 111 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 83,513 cases in the capital city while 782 people have lost their lives.
