Lahore: Caretaker Information Minister Punjab Aamir Mir Saturday indicated of artificial rain at different places of Lahore for smog control.
According to the details, Aamir Mir said that cloud seeding is being prepared for artificial rain at certain places in Lahore. The technology used for artificial rain is relatively low cost.
He stated that the presence of clouds in the sky is necessary for cloud seeding and it is not possible to determine a final date for cloud seeding due to condition of clouds.
The caretaker added that special salt is sprinkled on the clouds for artificial rain in cloud seeding. The aircraft that is used for spraying is being prepared to operate after which artificial rain or cloud seeding is possible.
