PM rejects summary to raise fuel prices
Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday rejected a summary by the Petroleum Division, recommending raising fuel prices before March 1.
In a tweet, Prime Minister's advisor Shahbaz Gill praised the Prime Minister for not raising the prices, writing in a tweet that Imran Khan did not approve the suggestion.
"OGRA [Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority] had suggested a Rs 6 to 7 increase," he wrote, adding that no raise was approved. Dr. Gill then went on to say that despite "constant raise" in the prices of petroleum products, Prime Minister did not approve the raise.
