Enraged over having daughter, father kills 7-day-old baby 

Mianwali: In an atrocious incident, a cruel father killed his 7-day-old newborn over being gender biased in Noorpura area of ​​Mianwali district and escaped. 

According to details, the accused identified as Shahzeb shot dead his daughter in a moment of anger because he wanted a boy.  

As per preliminary investigation, police said that hospital sources found out that the father was fuming about why the daughter was born and killed her.

Reportedly, Shahzaib snatched the newborn from his wife’s arms, pulled out a pistol, and shot her. 

The accused, then, managed to flee from the crime scene.

The infant was immediately taken to the District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital where the doctors pronounced her dead. Later, her autopsy revealed that total four bullets were fired at her. 

In the meantime, the police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Shahzaib Khan.

As per FIR, the cruel father had gone quiet ever since the birth of the child and refused to accept her.

The suspect and his wife, Mashal Fatima, tied the knot two years back.

On the other hand, District police officer (DPO) Mianwali Ismail-ur-Rehman reached Kharak District Headquarters Hospital and ordered immediate arrest of the brutal accused. 

Police has zero tolerance against such hideous crime, he said.
