PTI submits no-trust move against AJK PM
Members of the Legislative Assembly have nominated Sardar Tanveer Ilyas for the new Prime Minister.
Muzaffarabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has submitted a no-confidence motion against Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Abdul Qayyum Khan Niazi on Tuesday (today).
Reports quoting sources said the motion was submitted to the assembly secretariat by finance minister Majid Khan and Akbar Ibrahim under Article 18 of the Interim Constitution of Azad Kashmir and carries signatures of 25 PTI lawmakers.
The success of the no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir would require the support of 27 members of the 53-member assembly.
Members of the Legislative Assembly have nominated Sardar Tanveer Ilyas for the new Prime Minister.
Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi had been nominated by former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan after PTI won the elections in 2021.
