Yasir Hussain doesn’t want his son to join Pakistani showbiz
He added: ‘We do not have good work for our TV, artists are being offered bad quality work'.

Karachi: Yasir Hussain, actor, writer and director associated with Pakistan showbiz industry said that he does not want his son to be a part of Pakistani showbiz industry because it is not good.
A video clip of Yasir Hussain’s interview is going viral on the photo and video sharing platform Instagram, in which he openly talked about the reality of the showbiz industry.
Yasir Hussain stated: “Our industry is not good, I do not want my son to join this industry, if he will join, it is a different matter, I will not stop him from anything, but I do not want him to become an actor”.
The host got surprised by the actor and asks the reason for this.
To which he replied that this no work. Tell me what is happening in the industry. What is the job of an actor? An actor's job is to act well and show his talent, but what are we doing here.
Continuing the conversation, he added: ‘We do not have good work for our TV, artists are being offered bad quality work. If you look at our super hit dramas, they are not good. The actor is told that the drama will last for 25 episodes but the same drama is stretched to 40 episodes, how will it be good’.
After listening to the actor, the host asked that if our plays are not doing well, why are people watching them, especially in India.
In response to this question, Yasir Hussain said that everyone in Pakistan does not have Netflix, so they are watching these dramas, while India does not have its own good dramas, so they are forced to watch our dramas.
The actor used the Korean and Iranian industry as example that we can watch their dramas with interest even though the language is different, but the countries where good dramas are being produced, they do not watch our dramas.
He further said that in western countries, only old school Pakistanis are watching our plays or showing them to their children.
Pakistani dramas are watched only in those countries which do not have good dramas of their own, if we make good dramas, they will be seen in other countries too, added Hussain.
