Dengue is also re-emerging in Rawalpindi


(Web Desk): One person has been confirmed dead due to dengue fever in Charsadda, Peshawar.
According to details, DHO Dr. Wasiullah confirmed that a patient named Sajjad, who was infected with dengue, passed away today. So far, 42 dengue cases have been reported in Charsadda.
Dengue is also re-emerging in Rawalpindi. According to the District Health Department's report, a total of 52 dengue cases have been confirmed in the city so far this year. Out of these, 8 patients have been admitted to various hospitals, while 5 confirmed patients are still under treatment.
Fortunately, no deaths due to dengue have been reported in Rawalpindi this year.
As per the statistics, 28 cases have been reported in Rawalpindi district and 22 in Murree.
To prevent the spread of dengue, a campaign has been ongoing since January 1st, during which over 4.3 million households were inspected. Larvae were found in over 1.139 million homes.
During this period, 56,781 sites were checked, with larvae discovered at 24 locations, and 67,964 larvae were destroyed.
